About the vineyard

Letting the place talk through the vines

Trusting nature’s intelligence, we dedicate a lot of time to observing and working with the vines so that they provide us with the best fruits. We employ a holistic, organic approach using composts, herbal and fermented preparations and biodynamic practices, working with natural rhythms.

No synthetic and/or systemic chemicals (herbicide, fungicide or insecticide) is used on the vineyard. Biodynamic and microbiological practices are used to increase the life in and out of the soil.

We aim to use domestic animals (sheep, chickens, guinea fowl, ducks etc) to control grass & undesired insects.

Organic certified anti-fungals are used on the vines during the growing season to prevent damage from powdery and downy mildew.

Hand made is our philosophy! Our aim is to express the vintage in the fruit.

To achieve this, we use no artificial rainfall (irrigation), and use only hand pruning, shoot thinning, leaf plucking, green harvest & fruit harvesting.

About the wines

Revelation believes in low intervention wine making, to express ‘the place’ in the wines by using only wild yeast, minimal sulphites (if necessary) and nothing else.

(No acids, no powdered tannins, no sugar, no eggs, no milk, no fish protein, etc…)

We let the wine express its terroir by using vessels such as Terra Cotta, Ceramic, Oak barrels or Stainless steel tanks, for varying periods.

About us 

The vineyard – located in the south of Margaret River – is made of small patches of Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Semillon, Merlot & Cabernet Sauvignon, planted in 2001.

The vibrant heart of the estate is a lake around which the vines extend, providing water and increasing biodiversity on the land. Walking around the estate is blissful: crossing paths with guinea fowl, hearing the sound of bees, watching kangaroos jumping nearby and observing beautiful native birds in flight.

From July 2017, viticulture and wine making is under the control and philosophy of Revelation’s vineyard manager/wine maker. Mr François RIBAUD.  Mr Ribaud studied viticulture and wine making in his native France, before falling in love with the Margaret River region and it’s potential for great wines.
